ZTE's latest Android flagship phone has just been announced for an exclusive China launch with a spate of power-packed features. Undoubtedly, the key selling points of Nubia Z17 are its new Quick Charge 4+ technology alongside the massive 8GB RAM configuration and water resistance capabilities.
The Nubia Z17 boasts of a 5.5in full HD display with ultra-sleek side bezels to give it a stylish and appealing look. Apart from the display, the front panel also features a 16-megapixel camera with an 80-degree wide angle lens.
Moving to the dual rear camera, the Nubia Z17 packs quite a punch with a massive 23-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. Like most other Chinese flagship phones, the Z17 also features the coveted fingerprint sensor just below the dual rear cameras.
The Nubia Z17 will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor and a 3200mAh battery. It will be available in two variants, 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage.
Featuring the state-of-the-art Quick Charge 4+ technology from Qualcomm, the Nubia Z17 will be capable of 15 percent faster charging time than other handsets which come with Quick Charge 4.0. In other words, the Z17's battery can hit 50 percent mark in 15 minutes flat.
On the software front, the Nubia Z17 will run Android 7.1 out-of-the-box and feature a custom Nubia UI 5.0 on top. The custom UI enables gesture actions like sliding your fingers across the edge of the display. The user can switch apps or control display settings using these gesture actions.
The 6GB RAM with 64GB storage model of Nubia Z17 is priced at CNY 2,799 (Rs. 26,445 roughly) while the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage model will be sold at CNY 3,399. Finally, the top-of-the-line model comprising 8GB RAM with 128GB storage will cost CNY 3,999.
