The most-awaited sequel, "Zoolander 2", is set to be released in 2016. And while fans wait for it, the trailer of the upcoming film was leaked online recently. But Paramount Pictures was quick enough of unveil the official one.
Almost 15 years ago, the Ben Stiller starrer, "Zoolander" attracted a huge cult following with its story and humour. And now, thanks to the official trailer, fans have got taste of what is in store for them in the next instalment.
When the trailer was leaked a few days ago, just like any other production house, Paramount too didn't waste any time to give viewers a glimpse of the model cum assassin in "Zoolander 2".
During the screening of "Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation", movie-goers witnessed an unexpected surprise when the official "Zoolander 2" trailer debuted as one of the previews shown before the film.
The trailer starts with the narration from presumably Stephen Hawking contemplating the existential and scientific workings of the universe and human condition.
"Zoolander 2" follows Derek (Stiller) and best pal Hansel (Owen Wilson), who are trying to deal with a world that has seemingly moved on past them. The duo is modelling again when an opposing company attempts to take them out from the business.
Stiller, who has reprised his role as the iconic dim-witted model in the film, has also written and directed the script along with Justin Theroux.
"Zoolander 2" will hit theatres in February 2016.
