Zinio, a popular magazine newsstand, has released that Windows Phone 8 app exclusively for Nokia Lumia phones.
The new improved app will give a digital magazine experience to Lumia users with its added features like Reading List, Background downloading and other Personalization features.
"Nokia Lumia smartphones with Windows Phone 8 were the perfect platform for Zinio to bring the future of digital magazine reading for discerning digital readers. We've rethought every portion of our smartphone reading experience to be as intuitive as possible, allowing digital readers to fully immerse themselves in the magazine content that connects them with their diverse interests," said Michelle Bottomley, President of Zinio.
An article which was selected will be available even when the user is offline. However, the app is likely to consume more battery power as it will be downloading content from different sources continuously, said reports.
The app will support Windows Phone 8 live tiles, bookmarks, pinning and improved text mode support for easy reading on smartphone screens.
The Reading Lists will be automatically updated with new articles and magazines.
Talking about the exclusive partnership with Zinio, Bryan Biniak, vice-president for Global Partner & App Development at Nokia said, "We're delighted to bring Zinio's leading app experience to Nokia Lumia smartphones with Windows Phone 8."
