Consumer electronics major Asus has unveiled a slew of new Zenfone 2 series variants in India. The Taiwanese firm launched Zenfone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone 2 Laser, Zenfone Selfie and Zenfone Max in New Delhi on Thursday.
Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe:
The Zenfone 2 Deluxe flaunts a polygonal design with glossy glass-like segments. It features around 500 tessellated triangles on the cover, giving it a diamond-like reflective effect.
Other features are the same as the standard Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) model. It sports a 5.5-inch full HD display and runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop backed by 2.3GHz Intel Atom processor Z3580 with PowerVR G6430 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage capacity (expandable via microSD card).
It also houses a 13mp camera on the back, a 5mp snapper on the front and a 3000 mAh battery inside.
Asus Zenfone 2 Laser:
Asus Zenfone 2 Laser is a camera-centric phone. It ships with a feature-rich 13mp camera with an advanced laser guided auto-focus, which until now was only available in high-end smartphone like LG G4 and G3.
The laser-based, auto-focus feature measures the distance between the subject and the camera using a laser beam, enabling users to capture good quality photos under low-light conditions quickly.
Other stipulated features include HD display, Snapdragon 410 series chipset, 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB memory. It will come in two variants, ZE550KL with 5.5-inch screen and ZE601KL with 6.0-inch display.
Asus Zenfone Selfie:
As the name suggests, Zenfone Selfie's USP is its front-camera. It boasts a 13mp camera with f/2.2, 24mm wide angle , 5-prism Largan lens, Toshiba 1/3.2-inch sensor, Dual LED real-tone flash, HDR and low-light selfie feature.
And on the rear-side, Asus has incorporated an equally superior 13mp camera with Laser auto-focus feature like we see in Zenfone Laser device.
Asus Zenfone Max:
We already knew Zenfone 2 Deluxe, Laser and Zenfone Selfie will be unveiled on Thursday in New Delhi, but nobody had a clue about Asus' new global product launch.
The Taiwanese company took everyone by surprise by unveiling the new Zenfone Max at ZenFestival 2015. The marquee feature of Zenfone Max is the extra battery life. Asus has incorporated a massive 5000 mAh battery in the device, enabling the use of the phone for more than a day.
Other stipulated features include HD display with Gorilla Glass 4, Snapdragon 410 CPU, 2GB RAM, 4G-LTE support, dual-SIM slots, 13mp camera with PixelMaster technology, Dual-LED Real Tone flash, laser auto-focus and a 5mp camera with wide-angle field of view.
