Home grown smartphone maker Zen Mobile has launched a new budget smartphone in India named Sonic 1. The smartphone will be available for Rs.5,999 exclusive on eBay India.
The Sonic 1 has a 5-inch WVGA IPS capacitive display and is powered by 1.3 GHz quad core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM with upto 32GB expandable memory.
The Sonic 1 runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system and has a 1,850 mAh battery. It has a 5 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with flash and a 2 mega pixel front camera.
For the price, the Sonic 1 will have to compete with InFocus M2, Moto E 2nd Gen, Xiaomi Redmi 2 and Lenovo A6000. Except the Moto E 2nd Gen, no other smartphone comes with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out of the box.
Also the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage is usually visible in sub Rs.8,000 smartphones like Lenovo A6000 Plus and Yu Yuphoria.
