The grand finale of Zee Kannada's Drama Juniors will be aired this weekend. The channel has decided to telecast it in two episodes (one each on Saturday and Sunday).
"We had shot it two weeks ago and it will now be aired on Saturday and Sunday at 7.30 pm," a source from Zee Kannada told the International Business Times, India. "It will be electrifying episodes as the young kids have given their best performance," the source added.
The grand finale was shot at a specially erected set at Vidyadana Samithi High School grounds in Karnataka's Gadag district. It was held on September 25 with much fanfare. Yogaraj Bhat and Priyamani were the special guests at the event.
As per the buzz, Puttaraju and Chitrali have been declared joint winners of the first season of Drama Juniors. They have won trophies apart from getting Rs 4 lakh each as cash prize. Mahendra ended up as the first runner-up and won Rs 2 lakh, while second runner-up Amogha has bagged Rs 1 lakh.
There were eight contestants -- Achintya, Tushar, Puttaraju, Amogha, Chitrali, Mahindra, Revathi and Tejaswini – in the grand finale of the Master Anand-hosted show. The judges – TN Seetharam, Lakshmi and Vijay Raghavendra – announced the winners based on the audience votes.
Drama Juniors began on April 30, replacing Ramesh Aravind's popular talk show Weekend with Ramesh. The contestants were chosen following auditions in various parts of Karnataka.
