Zayn Malik took the world by storm when he decided to leave "One Direction" after five years. And he shocked everyone even more when he dumped his fiancée of two years, "Little Mix" member Perrie Edwards over a text message. Now, it's his turn to get heartbroken as new reports say that Edwards has won custody of their two pet pooches, Hatchi and Teddy.
Zayn Malik (22) and Perrie Edwards (22) adopted their very first pet, a male dog "Hatchi" in November 2012 and added another member, a female dog "Teddy" exactly three years later. They also shared two cats named "Prada" and "Benji", whose whereabouts have not been revealed yet.
Perrie revealed that her mother, Debbie Edwards, is currently looking after the pooches and she plans to take them on tour with her, according to The Mirror.
Ever since the news of Zayn splitting up with Perrie came, the latter has been trying hard to cope with it. In fact, recently she even broke down during a live performance that was held to celebrate Little Mix's four year anniversary.
However, the "Black Magic" singer has confirmed that she has moved on and is completely over Zayn Malik. At this time, winning the custody of the dogs only adds to her happiness.
Perrie said that she is "having an absolute blast" at the moment, enjoying her single life with the only other singleton of the band, Jade Thirlwall, 22.
For the first time since the split, Perrie talked openly about having "a bit of banter with guys in nightclubs," stressing that she loves it. "I love going out. I'm feeling brilliant and I'm in a good place – and I've got new hair," she added, according to The Mirror.
Perrie' fellow bandmates, Jesy Nelson (24), Leigh-Anne Pinnock (23) and Jade Thirlwall (22) has been standing like pillars behind her since Zayn broke up with her in July. And now, it looks like Perrie is finally ready to forget the former One Direction heartthrob as she revealed her desire to go on a "double date" with Jade to Disneyland, where she often enjoyed holidays with Zayn.
While Zayn has stayed mum about their split, his recent mysterious tweet is quite a mean take on Perrie.
On 24 September, he tweeted: "I don't want you to wait for me, I'm not coming home."
Earlier this month, rumours of Zayn flirting with Indian-origin Burberry model, Neelam Gill made news. He reportedly met her while still being engaged to Perrie and decided to take the acquaintance to the next step after dumping her.
Recently reports of Zayn trying to crawl back to Perrie with whom he stayed for four years together also came. But the Little Mix singer didn't entertain his pleadings at all.
While it was devastating to see them having such a nasty break up, it's good to know that Perrie has finally overcome the situation and is moving on.
