Zarine Khan is the latest Bollywood actress to be approached for a Hollywood project, joining the fray of other stars who have had a stint in the overseas film industry. The actress was reportedly approached to be a part of Daniel Silva's upcoming movie "Chimera".
Despite her failure to make a mark in Bollywood, Zarine is said to be taking a lot of time to accept the offer. "I have been offered the film but I am thinking about it," Zarine told IANS during the launch of Lotus Herbals' new range of makeup in New Delhi.
"Chimera" is reportedly a thriller movie based on bestselling novel "The Fallen Angel" authored by Silva himself. The film is also said to star Billy Zane.
Rumours of her being roped on board the project made rounds earlier, but the actress chose to remain silent till very recently. Claimed to be selective in accepting roles in Bollywood movies, Zarine is seemingly taking her time in accepting Silva's offer.
The 28-year-old actress kicked off her Bollywood career in 2010 movie "Veer" opposite Saman Khan. More than her acting skills, the inevitable comparison between her and Katrina Kaif is what pushed her into the spotlight.
Zarine was last seen in Sajid Khan's "Housefull 2". The actress said she doesn't want to be part of the new comers' competition.
"I really don't want to be in the race of newcomers who are just running after projects. It's not that I haven't been offered films. I have been offered a lot of films after Housefull 2 but I want to take my time and do quality work rather than quantity," she told the news agency.
