Zac Efron and Michelle Rodriguez confirmed rumors of dating when the couple was photographed engaging in public display of affection while vacationing in Italy on Saturday.
They appear to be an odd pair, considering that there is a nearly 10-year age gap between the two. But a source close to Efron previously stated that the actor wanted to be with someone who is not intimidated by fame and Rodriguez seems to be the perfect choice, as she is a successful actress in her own rights.
It is too soon to say if the relationship is serious, but Efron had once said that he wouldn't want to date someone if he does not see a future.
"As actors we are constantly running around and having adventures - our job can involve a lot of different twists and turns that we don't always expect," said Efron to Metro, according to Fashion & Style. "And I don't want to get into a relationship in which I can't 100 percent commit to that person all the time."
While Rodriguez was previously linked to model Cara Delevingne, Efron was believed to be dating his "Neighbors" co-star Halston Sage.
However, recent reports also suggested that Efron wanted to get back with his former lover and "High School Musical" co-star Vanessa Hudgens, as he felt she was "the one" for him.
The couple broke up in 2010.
While neither Sage not Hudgens have reacted to the PDA-filled pictures from Efron and Rodriguez's Italian vacation, Delevingne on Monday posted a Buddha quote on her Instagram, and many believe it is a message to her former lover.
"If you cannot find a good companion to walk with, walk alone, like an elephant roaming the jungle. It is better to be alone than to be with those who will hinder your progress," the quote read.
Rodriguez and Delevingne sparked dating rumors in February when they were photographed kissing during a basketball game. They were last seen together in May.
The "Fast and Furious" actress opened about being bisexual in an Entertainment Weekly interview in October, stating that she finds both men and women intriguing.
"I've gone both ways," she confessed to Entertainment Weekly in October. "I do as I please," she continued. "I am too f---king curious to sit here and not try when I can. Men are intriguing. So are chicks."
