If you have been waiting for a chance to buy YU's budget smartphones, here's an ideal opportunity. Amazon.in is hosting an open sale for Yureka Plus and Yuphoria handsets as part of its Great Indian Freedom Sale. During the open sale, buyers are not required to register in advance to purchase handsets. They can directly go to Amazon's online website and place orders.
This is a great chance for those who haven't been successful in purchasing YU smartphones through flash sales. But you must act soon as the open sale for both smartphones is valid only for two days, 11 and 12 August. The Great Indian Freedom Sale ends on Wednesday.
The open sale for YU's Yureka Plus is a first since its launch in July. The company recently slashed the price of its already-affordable Yureka Plus by Rs 1,000 and the handset is now available at Rs 8,999. This makes it the cheapest smartphone with Full HD display.
But the Yureka Plus has set a standard for other striking specs too, such as its 13MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, 5MP front snapper, 2,500mAh battery, Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and dual SIM 4G+3G support. The handset is powered by a 1.5GHz 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC, Adreno 405 GPU for graphics, 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage.
If you are looking for a smartphone cheaper than the Yureka Plus, YU Yuphoria at Rs 6,999 makes quite an appeal. The ultra-cheap Android smartphone also runs on Cyanogen OS 12 and features a 5-inch HD screen with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.2GHz 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage. Like its elder sibling, Yuphoria has dual SIM slots and supports 4G.
On the camera front, there's an 8MP primary shooter with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper with f/2.0 aperture. Serving as the powerhouse is a 2,230mAh battery.
Yureka Plus is available in two colour choices, Moondust Grey and Alabastar White while Yuphoria comes only in Buffed Steel hue.
