YU Televentures Ltd, subsidiary of Micromax, has slashed the price of the recently-released Yureka Plus in India.

To mark Friendship Day, YU has reduced the price of the Yureka Plus to Rs 8,999, ₹1,000 less than the original price announced a couple of weeks ago.

The new price will become effective in the upcoming Amazon India flash sale on 6 August.

Prospective buyers have to get registered on Amazon India (HERE) to become eligible to purchase on Thursday. The registration window is expected to close on 4 August at 23.59 pm.

The YU Yuphoria Plus sports a 5.5-inch full HD display and comes with Cyanogen OS 12 (based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop), Snapdragon 615 Octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, 13mp camera, 5mp front camera and a 2500 mAh battery.

With the announcement, the Yureka Plus costs same as it predecessor, which featured HD display. It will now give a stiff fight to rival Lenovo K3 Note, which costs Rs 9,999.
