Before YU could officially announce the new smartphone, Snapdeal, probably in its bid to generate excitement among fans, listed the YU Yunique on its site, revealing key features and price of the device.
Once the word got out, the listing was taken down, but by then, many technology blogs had taken screen shots of the page.
As per the listing, the YU Yunique sports 4.7-inch HD (1280x720p) display and runs on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS based Cyanogen OS 12.1 powered by the 64-bit class 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, Adreno 306 graphics engine, 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory, a 2000 mAh battery which can keep the phone running for close to 271 hours under standby mode.
It is also said to boast of a 8mp camera with LED flash, full HD video recording ability and on the front, it packs a 2mp snapper with wide-angle lens.
The YU Yunique is expected to cost Rs 4,999 and the registration would go live at 8pm, Tuesday (14 September), reported Fone Arena.
