After weeks of speculations, YU's much awaited flagship smartphone Yunicorn is all set to break cover in New Delhi in about a few minutes.
The company has also made arrangements to stream the Yunicorn launch event online so that fans can catch the action live on their smart devices.
YU Yunicorn: What we know so far
Numerous reports have indicated that YU Yunicorn will run Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and will be powered by a 1.81GHz MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755M) octa-core processor with 4GB RAM.
For other details such as display, camera and battery capacity, we just have to wait for a few more minutes to really know what the company has in store for fans.
On Monday, YU released a teaser to give us the first glimpse of the Yunicorn.
In the short 15-second clip, we see the device featuring white-hued Yunicorn with gold-coated frame and shell. It also houses a front camera on top left corner and above it, the company has incorporated a 3.5mm audio jack.
The phone also features a physical home button below the display, which many believe will house the fingerprint sensor.
As the video progresses, the device is shown to have two single-grille speakers, one each at right and left sides, with USB Type C-based port between them.
On the edge, Yunicorn features power button and volume rockers, one above the other, while at the rear, it houses a circular camera module. But we cannot know for sure what kind of LED flash it features or whether it will boast laser auto focus or not.
The company has confirmed that the new Yunicorn will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart soon after the unveiling later today.
