In yet another instance of people's growing anger towards politicians, Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar was on Thursday assaulted by a youth in New Delhi.
The youth attacked the Nationalist Congress Party chief when he was coming out of the office of New Delhi Municipal Corporation after attending a function organized there.
The youth, who has been identified as Harvinder Singh, was present in the audience and slapped the minister on his face and punched in his back when the latter was trying to move out. With no signs of remorse, the youth said, "Sharad Pawar is responsible for price raise. This is my answer to corrupt politicians."
Singh has been taken for interrogation by the security officials.
The man in question had attacked former telecom minister Sukhram in Delhi last week.
