Days after 24-year-old Ms. Lee claimed K-pop star Yoochun sexually assaulted her in the bathroom of an adult entertainment establishment; another woman has made a similar claim. According to the latest news, the K-pop star assaulted her on Dec. 17, 2015, but she was afraid of taking on a legal battle with a celebrity.
On Friday, June 17, local media outlet YTN news announced that Park Yoochun, more famously known by his first name, assaulted the woman in the bathroom of a nightclub. She claimed that she was taken to the restroom after the K-pop star said he couldn't hear her well.
"I didn't know how far I could take this, but then he started sexually assaulting me. I told him this isn't right and that I wanted to leave, but he held my wrist and blocked me from leaving," Allkpop quoted her as saying.
According to Soompi, she called the police at 3.20 a.m. on the same night, hours after the incident took place. The outlet reported that Yeoksam district police sent its officers to verify her statement, but she decided to withdraw the case.
In response, the Gangnam district police has taken these claims seriously and has assigned a task force to investigate the claims made by the two women. According to various media reports, the police will continue with its investigation even though Ms. Lee has decided to withdraw her statement.
Yoochun's agency, C-JeS Entertainment issued a statement in relation to the new developments in the case. The company's representatives said that they are currently checking the facts but added that Yoochun will retire if found guilty, Soompi reported.
The JYJ band member has lost popularity among fans following the sexual assault allegations. According to another article on Soompi, the band's fan site has withdrawn support for Yoochun.
In a statement published on DC JYJ Gallery, fans stated, "We'd like to express deep disappointment and anger at Park Yoochun who has trampled over 13-years worth of trust and the youth of fans."
