South Korean comedian Yoo Jae Suk has been voted as 2018's greatest comedian and variety star.
According to reports, Gallup Korea conducted a public poll for three weeks starting from November 7 to November 30 among nearly 1,700 people aged 13 years and above in South Korea.
As per the results, Yoo Jae Suk has ranked No.1 by receiving 33.4 %. Though he suffered a setback in 2010 and 2011, the comedian regained his number 1 slot in 2012 and remained at the spot for seven years consequently.
Park Na Rae has been selected for the second place with 27.4% of the votes. She has been a regular member on MBC's "I Live Alone", MBC's "Video Star", tvN's "Salty Tour" and tvN's "Comedy Big League". According to the result, Park Na Rae is highly preferred by younger women with her popularity rising strongly among women aged from 20s to 40s.
Kang Ho Dong has attained the third position with 23.3% of votes. Earlier Kang Ho Dong was known as one of the "nation's MCs" along with Yoo Jae Suk. He is as regular in JTBC's "Ask Us Anything", "Let's Eat Dinner Together", tvN's "New Journey to the West" and many more.
The number four position was achieved by Lee young Ja, the rising star of 2018 with her role on MBC's "Omniscient", Olive's "Food Bless You" and more. She is famous for her unique topics and comical expressions in her eating shows.
The other comedians who ranked within the top 10 slots are Shin Dong Yup, Jun Hyun Moo, Yang Se Hyung, Lee Soo Geun, Lee Kyung Kyu and Lee Sang Min.
