Telugu star Allu Arjun is one of the most celebrated other language superstar, whose dubbed movies have been well accepted by the Kerala audience. The star's latest release "Yodhavu" — the Malayalam dubbed version of the blockbuster "Sarrainodu" has also been opened to tremendous response from movie-goers since its release on May 27.
"Yodhavu" has become the highest grossing Mollywood dubbed movie of Allu Arjun in his acting career spanning 13 years. The film has earned a total gross collection of Rs. 7 crore with a share amount of Rs. 2.80 crore at the Kerala box office. It has now become the second highest Telugu grosser in Kerala after the magnum-opus project "Baahubali - The Beginning." The SS Rajamouli-directed film is said to have collected a gross amount of Rs 14.25 crore from Kerala alone.
"Yodhavu," directed by Boyapati Srinu, also became the actor's biggest opening weekend grosser by earning a total of approximately Rs. 1.85 crore with Rs. 74 lakh alone on its opening day in Kerala. During his recent visit to the South Indian state to attend the success celebration of the film, the actor expressed his desire to work with superstar Mohanlal and also hinted about his interest of being part of a direct Malayalam movie in the coming future. Following this, unconfirmed reports had it that the superstar might make his debut in filmmaker B Unnikrishnan's Mollywood project.
Meanwhile, the original Telugu version of "Yodhavu" has made a total collection of more than Rs. 127 crore from the world wide box offices making it the highest grosser of the superstar till date. It minted more than Rs. 96 crore from Nizam and Andhra Pradesh.
