The first look poster of Ajith's "Yennai Arindhaal", which released on 30 October, has sent fans into a tizzy and received overwhelming response.
The poster, showing Ajith sitting on a Royal Enfield bike, went viral and the hashtags "Yennai Arindhaal" and "Thala 55" started trending worldwide on Twitter. Following the massive response to the first poster, "Yennai Arindhaal" team released two more posters, showing Ajith in mass avatar, thus raising the expectations among the audience.
Fans are now eagerly looking forward to the release of the film. There have been plenty of speculations doing the rounds as to when the Ajith starrer will hit the screens. Earlier, there were reports claiming that the film will hit the screens during the Pongal festival period in 2015.
The latest we hear is that at least a month's shoot is left to complete "Yennai Arindhaal". The film's cinematographer Dan Macarthur revealed that the team is currently busy shooting the dance scenes and the final stage is yet to begin.
"At least 4 weeks hard shooting left on #YennaiArindhaal finishing dance scenes and the finale yet to come. #Ajith keeping well/happy," Macarthur tweeted.
If latest reports are to be believed, "Yennai "Arindhaal" might hit the screens this year itself. Director Gautham Menon confirmed to a Tamil daily that the he is planning to release the film by the end of December, reported OnlyKollywood.
If the news turns out to be true, it will be a real treat for Ajith fans. "Yennai Aridhaal" will be Ajith's second release of the year after "Veeram". The action thriller is carrying big expectations, thanks to the first time collaboration of Ajith and Gautham.
Thala is playing a cop in the film, while Anushka Shetty and Trisha Krishnan appear as leading ladies. Arun Vijay and Vivek are also part of the film's cast.
"Yennai Arindhaal" deals with the journey of a man between the ages 12 and 38. The film has all aspects of a commercial entertainer, including action, romance and family sentiments.
Produced by Sri SaiRam Creations, "Yennai Arindhaal" is reportedly being made with a budget of around ₹50 crore. It has been touted to be Gautham's biggest film so far, according to The Hindu.
Harris Jayaraj has composed the soundtracks for "Yennai Arindhaal", and this is the first time that the composer is working in an Ajith starrer. The audio launch of "Yennai Arindhaal" is expected to happen in November but there is no official confirmation in this regard.
