Ajith Kumar's "Yennai Arindhaal" has finally managed to hit a century at the box office. The Tamil movie has grossed over ₹100 crore worldwide.
As per trade tracker Ramesh, "Yennai Arindhaal" has made ₹101.80 crore worldwide. The response for the movie has been good despite the World Cup fever gripping the nation.
He Tweeted,"#YennaiArindhaal WW Feb 5th - 22nd BO Gross: #India - ₹ 73.30 Crs Overseas - ₹ 28.50 Crs Total - ₹ 101.80 Crs"
At the domestic box office, "Yennai Arindhaal" has earned close to ₹73.3 crore. It has earned about ₹28.50 crore from international circuits. According to Ramesh, the film has earned about ₹60.5 crore in Tamil Nadu, ₹6.1 crore in Karnataka, ₹5.15 crore in Kerala and the remaining business from rest of India.
He added, "TN - ₹ 60.5 Crs KA - ₹ 6.1 Crs KE - ₹ 5.15 Crs ROI - ₹ 1.55 Crs Total - ₹ 73.30 Crs."
When it comes to overseas, "Yennai Arindhaal" is doing well in the US, UK and a few other centres. But the breakup of the business made by the film at different centres is yet to be revealed by trade analysts.
At the Chennai box office, "Yennai Arindhaal" has raked in about ₹5.75 crore so far. The film had above 425 shows in the past week and the occupancy had been good. During the weekend, the response was exceptionally well in some theatres.
However, there are still doubts over the movie's collection in Tamil Nadu as a few trade trackers feel that "Yennai Arindhaal" business in the state might be exaggerated. Only the official announcement would clarify the doubts related to the film's business.
Nonetheless, the film has been getting good response at multiplexes. "Yennai Arindhaal", which is Ajith's Tamil film, and a few Bengali films have done well so our admits have not been affected at all," Box Office India reports Kamal Gianchandani, president, PVR Pictures, as saying.
Currently, "Yennai Arindhaal" is considered as an above-average film at the box office. The Tamil movie should have a decent run for a few weeks to become a hit movie.
"Yennai Arindhaal" is a romantic-action movie directed by Gautham Menon. AM Rathnam produced film has Trisha Krishnan, Anushka Shetty and Arun Vijay playing key roles along with Ajith Kumar.
