Ajith Kumar starrer "Yennai Arindhaal" is all set for Pongal release. Even as the movie is getting ready to hit screens, there are rumours of its Bollywood remake.
Gautham Menon, who has earlier remade his hit Tamil films in Bollywood, seems to be once again interested in taking his South film to the Hindi audience.
Gautham Menon had earlier remade his "Minnale" ("Rehna Hai Terre Dil Mein" in Hindi) and "Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa" ("Ekk Deewana Tha" in Bollywood). So, the Hindi film industry is not something new to the director and he has plans to take "Yennai Arindhaal" to Bollywood, say reports.
As of now, Gautham Menon has not planned anything and is concentrating only on the Tamil version. It is only after the release of "Yennai Arindhaal", that he might start working on the Bollywood version.
Adding to that Gautham Menon wants to see how the Tamil audience will receive "Yennai Arindhaal". It is said that the success of the Tamil version will only encourage the director to remake Ajith's flick in Bollywood. If the flick fails to impress the audience, there are very less chances of the filmmaker remaking it in Hindi.
The news does not come as a surprise as this is not the first time where the remake rumours of an Ajith film have hit the headlines. Earlier, his "Veeram" and "Arrambam" too had caught Bollywood filmmakers' attention. But the films have not been remade in Hindi yet.
However, whether "Yennai Arindhaal" has potential for Hindi remake will only be decided once the film hits the screens. The movie also features Trisha Krishnan, Anushka Shetty and Arun Vijay in important roles.
Meanwhile, the trailer of "Yennai Arindhaal", which was released a few days ago, has impressed the audience and has raised expectation levels of cinegoers.
