Hina Khan aka Akshara of "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" seems to be giving a the makers of the show tough time. According to reports, Hina has apparently refused to play the role of a mother-in-law, at the time when the show is revolving around Akshara's son Naksh's (Rohan Mehra) grand wedding with Tara (Umang Jain).
The team has already shot for Naksh's bachelor's party, and Hina's reluctance to play the role of a mother-in-law at this stage of her career has left the makers with no choice but to alter the ongoing track, SpotboyE reports. Apparently, the wedding track has been postponed for a couple of months. The report further said Hina is reportedly unhappy with the focus shifting to Naksh and Tara.
Recently reports suggested Naksh and Tara's wedding might not take place as the makers were mulling over the idea of introducing a new girl in Naksh's life and spice up the couple's relationship. There was also talk of cheerful Tara turning negative with the entry of the new girl. This, however, didn't go down well with Umang, who had said she might quit the show if the makers decided to cast a new girl and sideline her character.
Hina expressing her reservations about playing a mother-in-law at a time when the makers have still not been able to decide whether to introduce a new girl in Naksh life or continue with Naksh and Tara's love story has led them to finally call off the wedding, but for some time.
Hina was in news a few months ago when she was said to be throwing tantrums on the sets and often arriving late for shoots. Further, her constant interference with the script had reportedly resulted in the makers mulling over the idea of replacing the actress. "Hina Khan not only arrives late for the shoot but has also been interfering with every scene. All this has agitated her co-stars and makers of the show alike," a source had told Absolute India.
The report had also said although the makers wanted to replace the actress, they were also mindful that it might not go down well with the show's loyal viewers, who have been watching for the past seven years.
