Hina Khan aka Akshara of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, who was serving her notice period on the popular show, recently shot her last episode for the series.
Hina broke down on the sets while shooting for the last episode, DNA reported. The storyline showed Hina's character, Akshara, dying to mark her exit from the show.
Hina had been making news for quite some time now, and was said to be throwing tantrums on the sets. Rumour had it that the actress, who had been the face of the show for the past seven years, was not happy with the focus shifting towards the young actors, and wanted the makers to put her in the limelight once again.
Since the daily soap had moved on from Akshara-Naitik storyline to the younger generation's love story, the makers were having a tough time accepting Hina's unreasonable demands. Troubled by her tantrums, the creative team of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai apparently decided to end Hina's role.
Another cast member of the show told Mid-Day that lack of punctuality and absence from the sets were also another reason for Hina's ouster from the series. A crew member of the show had added: "The writers have to constantly change the script since Hina is unavailable to shoot most of the time. Though currently serving notice period, she is being unprofessional by not showing up."
However, the actress had always denied being insecure of the young actors on the sets.
