Mohsin Khan, who plays the role of Kartik in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, was held by traffic police on Thursday, June 15, apparently for breaking the signal. He was taken to Bandra Police station soon after the incident.
Mohsin claimed himself to be innocent and was even ready to pay the fine, but was taken aback when the policemen asked him for a bribe. When he refused, the actor said he was taken to the Bandra Police Station where he was allegedly harassed.

Mohsin captured the incident on his mobile phone, and went live on Instagram. He also took to Twitter to share his disappointment. He wrote, "They stop us for jumping the signal and asked for a bribe. Thats when i went live guys."
Given that Mohsin has a huge fan-base, the video soon went viral. The actor told India Forums: "I go to Mahim dargah every Thursday after pack up and I was coming back while this happened. I did not jump the signal but he thought I did. However, I was still ready to pay the fine and but he asked him for a bribe."
"If any such thing ever happens with someone, they should be responsible and rather pay the fine, but never bribe. There hardly is any difference between the two, so you'd rather do the former and play your part well," he added.
In other news, Mohsin, who was rumoured to be dating his Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai co-star Shivangi Joshi aka Naira, admitted to the relationship in a recent interview.
