Here's some sad news for fans of Karan Mehra, who plays the role of Naitik Singhania in Star Plus' show "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai".
The popular actor, who has been a part of the show for the past seven years now, will reportedly quit the show in a few weeks time.
"The team of 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' will soon be going to Hong Kong in February for shooting. They will be there for ten days for the next upcoming high point. Post the Hong Kong trip, Karan will exit the show," a source from the set told India Forums.
If reports are anything to go by, then it will surely disappoint the show's loyal viewers who have loved the on-screen chemistry of the lead pair Naitik and Akshara (Hina Khan).
While the reason for Karan's decision to exit the show is not known, rumours of his and Hina's conflicts have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. Apparently, the on-screen couple is not on talking terms and their cold war was said to be evident on the sets of the show.
In other news, viewers of the long-running show will soon witness the engagement of Naksh (Roha Mehra) and Tara (Umang Jain) which will take place in Hong Kong.
"The channel and makers are presently working out details on the much-awaited engagement of Naksh and Tara that will air sometime in March. The team will fly for a small schedule in Hong Kong in the last week of February, wherein they will shoot the engagement of the young lovers," a source told Telly Chakkar.
