"Yeh Jawaani Hai Dewaani" starring ex-lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles is dominating the ticket collection window even as it enters the second week.
The collection of the romantic film has declined by 20 to 25 percent on Friday as compared to the previous day, but it still managed to collect ₹7 crore on second Friday.
Adding ₹7 crore in its pocket, the total collection of the film in Indian market stands at ₹114.61 crore. "YJHD" crossed the ₹100 crore within seven days of its release and emerged as the first film of the year to reach the century club in just a week's time.
Directed by Ayan Mukherji, the film features Aditya Roy Kapur, Kalki Koechlin and Kunal Roy Kapur in main roles. It was released across 3000 screens in India a week ago.
If "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" manages to earn more than ₹21 crore in its second weekend than it will be second highest collection after Aamir Khan's "3 Idiots". Till date, "Dabangg 2" hold the record of second highest weekend collection with ₹21 crore.
Meanwhile, new film "Yamla Pagla Deewana 2" starring Deol trio - Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby - was released on Friday. The action comedy film has not affected "YJHD" at box office. In fact, "YJHD" has given a tough competition to the new release.
"Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" is doing well at the international market too. The film is performing extremely well in US, Canada and UK market.
