From the very beginning in "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein", Shagun (Anita Hassanandani) has been playing the prime antagonist in Raman (Karan Patel) and Ishita's (Divyanka Tripathi) lives.
Shagun has always been trying to ruin the happy couple's life and take their adorable daughter Ruhi away from them.
Despite having tried all possible ways to separate Ruhi from her "Ishima", as the girl addresses Ishita -- from legal battle to kidnapping -- all her plans have failed.
Eventually, Ishita's selfless efforts in protecting Ruhi and their unique stepmother-daughter relationship made Shagun realise that her child no longer loves her and that she should go away from their lives.
And while she was missing from the show until recently, the makers have come up with a new antagonist within the Bhalla house.
Raman's sister Rinki (Resha Konkar), who has always been supportive of her brother, has suddenly turned a villain in his and Ishita's life.
Rinki has started assuming that her husband Mihir (Raj Singh Arora), who works with Raman, isn't given the equal rights and has been pestering him to quit the job for a better opportunity.
Not just that, Rinki believes that Raman and Ishita are using her husband for the company's profit, which has made her hate him more.
Her bitterness towards her brother has gone to such an extent that she has started dirtying the entire Bhalla family's mind that Raman and Ishita care for none but only themselves.
