Star Plus hit show "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" has been revolving around Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi), who is going through a low phase of her life without daughter Ruhi by her side. But, she will soon see a ray of hope in a a woman activist, played by veteran actress Anju Mahendroo.
Anju, who entered the show at the crutial juncture, will put an end to all the troubles in the family by bringing Ishita and Ruhi closer.
"In this day and age you are lucky if you get a strong role, but somehow I have managed to get one. I will play an important role in bringing Ishita and Ruhi closer. I own an NGO in the show and the shooting has already begun. It's good to work with Balaji again," Anju said, according to PTI.
The 69-year-old actress, known for her long-term relationship with actor Rajesh Khanna, is popular in the film as well as TV industry.
The actress has played some strong roles in films like "Page 3", "I Hate Luv Storys", and "The Dirty Picture" among others.
Meanwhile, in the show, Ruhi is seen distancing herself from her beloved Ishima and has even started hating her.
Ruhi, who now stays with Shagun (Anita Hassanandani), also said that as her Ishima no longer needs her, she will happily stay with her biological mother.
While Ishita and Raman (Karan Patel) are trying to get their daughter back, the show introduces yet another trouble to their family.
In the latest development, Ishika's siter Mihika is seen dealing with problems after been physically assaulted by her husband Ashok.
