The current ghost track of "Yeh Hai Mohabattein" has been keeping its viewers glued to their TV sets with daily doses of some nail-biting scenes.
Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi), who is possessed by dead Shagun's (Anita Hassanadani) ghost, has been creating a lot of trouble for the entire Bhalla family. After trying to strangulate her own mother, Ishita tried killing Raman (Karan Patel) as well.
Reportedly, in the upcoming episodes, Ishita will get back to normal with the help of a man who has the ability to sense supernatural powers.
The makers have roped in Darshan Pandya, who was earlier part of Balaji's "Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar" and "Kyaa Hua Tera Vaada". The actor will be playing the role of Prateek Sharma, who will help Ishita get over Shagun's ghost.
"There will soon be a sigh of relief as Ishita will get back to normal soon as a new resident in Ishita's building will be coming in her life, who will identify the negative energy in Ishita's life. This role is played by Darshan Pandya. His character will soon sense something is wrong in the building and will eventually come to know that Ishita has been possessed by Shagun's spirit. Darshan's character will help Ishita get out from the clutches of Shagun," a source told Absolute India.
Confirming it, Darshan told the publication, "Yes, I am shooting for Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and I will be seen playing Prateek Sharma who has the ability to sense supernatural powers and I will help Ishita to get out of Shagun's spirit."
Interestingly, Darshan's role wouldn't end with Ishita getting back to normal; when asked if he is doing a cameo, the actor said, "No, my role is ongoing."
Further, the report suggested that post the leap, Darshan's character will get romantically involved with Ishita.
