"Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" recently aired a very interesting sequence which had Ishita and Shagun narrowly escape the clutches of a crocodile. The scene was appreciated and lauded by viewers on social media, but the impact it has had on the show's crew is damaging.
According to reports, the crew, after shooting for several hours underwater, fell sick making work difficult for the following days. In order to make the scene look like one which has been shot mid-evening, the shooting kick-started at 7 in the morning and was wrapped by 3 am the next day.
"The next day many crewmembers had fallen sick, some of them even got rashes after shooting in dirty water for long hours. The show has no bank of episodes and we're having a tough time in delivering an episode, while battling health issues. That's why each episode is taking longer to shoot than usual, leaving the team with no day offs," the Asian Age quoted an insider as saying.
Although the sequence had majority of the team down with some or the other illness, the kind of work that went into making it has brought satisfaction to the show's creative director, Sandiip Sikcand. Talking about it, he said how they had to use VFX to bring the gator into the picture adding that it has come out brilliantly.
"If a certain kind of technology has been invented, it should be used in all possible mediums to enhance the quality of entertainment," he told the leading daily.
In other news, Mrs. Bhalla (Shahnaz Rizwan), in Wednesday's episode, will throw Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) and Shagun (Anita Hassanandani) out of the house.
