Hit daily soap "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" has already triggered a massive buzz by introducing unexpected twists and turns in the plot, and a few days ago it was reported that someone new will enter Dr. Ishita Raman Bhalla's (Divyanka Tripathi) life.
After Mrunal Jain couldn't accept the offer, Eijaz Khan and Aadesh Chowdhary were being considered. However, Bollywood Life now reports that "Dill Mill Gayye" star Amit Tandon will essay the role of the 'other man'.
Since there has been no official announcement yet, this can be counted as mere speculation.
"Mrunal was keen on taking up the offer as Divyanka is one of the top actresses on TV right now as YHM is a huge hit and also returning to Ekta Kapoor's camp would have been homecoming for him. But it was highly impossible to shuttle between the two far-off sets," a source told the web portal earlier.
Interestingly, the buzz is, since Karan Patel (Raman Bhalla) is set to marry Ankita Bhargava on 3 May, the makers have planned on introducing a new character so that the attention is completely diverted towards the fresh face. But, it's not yet clear if Amit will play Ishita's love interest.
"Yes, we will have a filmy wedding. I belong to Delhi and lived in a joint family till I came to Mumbai. I have always enjoyed this whole joint family setup and am happy that Karan has a big family," The Times of India quoted Bhargava as saying.
Karan and Ankita's coming together had triggered a huge controversy. While it was reported that it was the bride-to-be's fault that the TV actor broke up with Kamya Punjabi, the former clarified saying they had met after the two split.
