"Yeh Hai Mohabbtein" actress Divyanka Tripathi's recent split with long-time boyfriend Ssharad Malhotra shocked everyone. A few days ago, she was quoted as saying that she is trying to focus on work more than the heartbreak, and now it looks like the actress has successfully put the past behind her and has moved on in life.
On Saturday, she took to Instagram to post a picture of her flaunting an engagement ring along with a message that read, "#EngagedToMyself #EngagedToLife. Gifted myself beautiful rings. #WhyWait! Go Girls... Gift yourself Love. #BeIndependent #BeHappy."
Both Divyanka and Ssharad were very secretive about their affair. But it was last year when the TV actor decided to open up about his equation with his lady love. However, he clarified that marriage was not on the cards.
"Yes, Divyanka is the one for me. I have known her for eight years now. So, there is a comfort factor with her. After all, a known devil is always better than an unknown devil," The Times of India had quoted him as saying. Divyanka, who had no inkling of her then beau admitting to their relationship, said it was both shocking and touching for her.
However, the couple announced their 'mutual' split early in March urging the media to be considerate about their decision to part ways. But, soon after the confirmation, there were rumours of Ssharad cheating on Divyanka with Rachna Parulkar. The latter denied rumours saying it was a hogwash.
"Just because my co-star has broken up with his partner you automatically think I am the guilty party? Gone are the days when you need a third person to cause a break-up. Sometime compatibility issues do crop up," Rachna told Bollywood Life.
