Star Plus' top-rated show "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" is about the love story of two characters with different cultural backgrounds.
Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi), a South Indian, and Punjabi divorcee Raman (Karan Patel) get married for the sake of the latter's two kids, Ruhi and Aditya, who need a caring mother. During the course of their married life, the parents fall in love with each other.
For several years now, both Divyanka and Karan have been ruling the hearts of millions worlwide; their on-screen chemistry has made them one of the most popular on-screen jodis.
And now, the popular actors have undergone a major change in their roles – not on the show but in a commercial advertisement, according to a report in India-forum.
While Divyanka will be seen as a Punjabi woman, Karan will feature as a South Indian. The duo has already shot the commercial ad.
Talking about the shooting experience, Divyanka told the web-portal: "I had 12 changes overall for this shoot in which my favorite was the evergreen saree look. I enjoyed each one of them."
It would surely be a treat for Divyanka and Karan's fans to watch their favourite actors in a different avatar.
