Ekta Kapoor's new venture "Kasam" made headlines after popular actor Ssharad Malhotra was roped in to play the lead.
The latest actor to join the cast of "Kasam" is Lalit Bisht, who was last seen on "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein." Bisht played the role of lawyer Chaddha on the show.
According to an India Forums report, while the actor played a negative role in "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein," in Kapoor's new show he will be seen in a positive role. Bisht will play the role of Yuvraj, the best friend of Malhotra's character on the show.
Recently, there were reports that Yuvika Choudhary would be the female lead of "Kasam". However, Kratika Sengar Dheer has now been finalised as the female lead opposite Malhotra.
Rumour has it that Roma Bali, who had been part of shows like "Udaan" and "Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon-Ek Baar Phir," has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the show.
"Kasam" will see Divyanka Tripathi's ex-boyfriend Malhotra play a Casanova during the initial episodes, The Times of India reports. He will play the role of a rich Canada-return businessman who falls in love with a girl but soon loses her in a tragic incident, which changes his views on love and relationships.
"Balaji Telefilms' upcoming show on Colors will be based on Punjabi backdrop. The story will revolve around the filthy rich 'Canada-return' Bedi family. Their elder son falls in love with a girl but soon tragedy strikes his love life, which makes him lose faith in love," India Forums quoted a source as saying.
