Television heartthrob Karan Patel aka Raman Bhalla of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" often makes headlines for the wrong reasons. From rumours of his troubled married life, his past relationship with Kamya Punjabi to throwing tantrums on the sets of the show, Karan has often found himself embroiled in controversies.
In the latest instance, the actor was accused of throwing a lot of tantrums while shooting for a particular sequence in "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein." Apparently, Karan had to shoot in the rains and a water tanker was called in to shoot the scene. However, when Karan got to know that he had to shoot in the rains, he refused to film the sequence, India Forums reported. Soon after, rumours started doing the rounds that this is another example of the actor's starry tantrums.
However, Karan took to his Twitter handle to clarify the reason behind refusing to shoot the scene. The actor mentioned that since Maharashtra is facing a serious water shortage problem, he feels that instead of using it on the show, the same amount of water could have been used for the benefit of the people.
While Karan's tweet is appreciable, apparently, this is not the first time the actor has refused to shoot and left the shoot mid-way. Recently, there were rumours that Karan left the sets after complaining about the unbearable heat.
Also, during the Star Parivaar Awards 2016, Karan reportedly infuriated his "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" co-stars when he didn't arrive at the event on time. Apparently, the team had planned for a grand entry together but after Karan got busy with some work for quite a long time, the rest of the cast reportedly dispersed and walked the red carpet separately.
Meanwhile, Karan had been in the news recently after his ex-girlfriend Kamya raised quite a few eyebrows at a Box Cricket League 2 (BCL 2) match when she openly expressed her love for the actor. The actress even went on to hug Karan for his team's excellent performance, which left the "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actor blushing. Kamya also said that she is still in love with Karan although she doesn't want him back in her life.
Soon after Kamya's shocking statement, Karan's wife Ankita Bhargava (Ankita Karan Patel) reacted to it strongly. "All I want to say on this bullshit being thrown our way is that this is just a waste of your energies. I would suggest they use their energies in doing something more productive in the future," Ankita had told India Forums.
