In what comes as a shock to the fans, the release of Rocking Star Yash's KGF is in trouble. A civil court in Bengaluru has granted an interim stay on the release of the Kannada movie till January 7.
Going by the TV reports, the court was hearing an application filed by one Venkatesh, who has claimed that the movie is based on rowdy Thangam and he has the rights to make a biopic on him. Hence, he sought a stay on the film's release.
The movie is scheduled for release on Friday, 21 December, across the country in five languages - Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam. Also, the makers had planned premieres in the US on Thursday evening, 20 December.
Meanwhile, the Hombale Films has issued a statement stating that the production house has not received any order and the movie will release as planned before.
The advance booking of tickets of KGF has met with fantastic response in Karnataka. Cashing in on the hype, the makers have planned for over 100 early morning shows across the state. With the legal trouble coming its way, the fans are worried whether the Kannada flick will release on time.
