Karan Johar's twins, Yash and Roohi, turned one on February 7 and to celebrate the special day, he threw a big birthday bash, which was attended by all the celebrity star kids.
Taimur was one of the guests, who took part in the celebration with mother Kareena Kapoor Khan, while Shah Rukh Khan came with his youngest son AbRam. Rani Mukerji's daughter Adira was also one of the guests.
While several pictures were doing the rounds on social media, KJo's foe turned friend Kajol was missing. Kajol and Karan were best buddies once, but their relationship turned sour for a while. Now, they are back to being BFFs.
Then, why did Kajol miss such a special day in KJo's life?
According to Mid-Day, she was shooting for Pradeep Sarkar's Ela, so couldn't make it to the party.
Bebo with Taimur, Rani Mukerji, Alia Bhatt, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Shah Rukh with AbRam, Kaajal Anand, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Sidharth Malhotra were among the guests. Sid, Shweta and Kaajal wore T-shirts with Roohi and Yash written on them and the pictures were doing the rounds online.
Coming back to Karan-Kajol fallout, it broke many hearts as the duo has been the best buddies ever since they started their career. But people were delighted after these two became friends again – thanks to Roohi and Yash.
When Karan shared the first picture of his twin toddlers on Instagram, Kajol liked the picture.
This kind act by the actress must have surely brought a smile on the director's face, who in turn started following her on social media.
But social media was not the platform where they actually patched up. They had already buried the hatchet and it was Kajol who took the first step.
She had invited KJo on her birthday last year and the filmmaker had agreed. A source had told Mumbai Mirror, "She's never been big on parties. It was an informal lunch. Karan sportingly turned up. They hugged, chatted for a couple of hours and Karan teared up. When he left the ice had melted. They did not touch on the issues that had created the rift."
