Yamaha's much-awaited YZF-R3 made its debut in India on 11 August with a price tag of Rs 3.25 lakh.
The latest offering Yamaha will reach selected showrooms of the company from next week onwards and the deliveries are expected to begin from 20 August. YZF-R3 will be brought to India as CKD (Completely Knock Down) units from the company's manufacturing plant in Indonesia and will be assembled locally at the company plant in Chennai. R3 will take on the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 300, , KTM RC 390 and Honda CBR 250.

Yamaha R3 is 2090 mm long, 720 mm wide, 1135 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 1380 mm. The module offers a ground clearance of 160 mm, and comes with a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres. At the front, R3 features Telescopic fork suspension and swingarm at the rear.
