India Yamaha Motor added a new colour option to its Saluto 125cc motorcycle on Wednesday. The new colour option is christened as Matt Green and is available in drum brake as well as disc brake variants. It has been priced at Rs. 53,600 and Rs 56,100, respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Matte Green colour in drum brake and disc brake has been priced Rs. 1,000 over to the prices of other colour options. The disc brake equipped Saluto is also sold in Glory Green, Bold Blue, Dashin White and Majsetic Red, while the drum brake version is sold in Victory Red and Brave Black colour options.
Other than the new colour option, there are no updates in the powertrain. The 125cc air cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-Valve engine develops 8.1bhp and 10.1Nm of torque mated four-speed transmission. Being the lightest bike in its class at 113 kg, Saluto offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 78kmpl.
"Since its launch, Saluto has gained immense popularity in the commuter segment. The launch of new vibrant colour schemes and graphics of Saluto are in line with Yamaha's promise to constantly delight its customers," said Roy Kurian, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd in a statement.
The Saluto measures 2035mm in length, 1080mm in height, 700mm in width and 125mm in wheelbase. The ground clearance of Saluto 125 stands at 180 mm and the bike gets a fuel tank capacity of 7.6 litres.
