Fresh off the launch in San Francisco, Yahoo is bringing its Mobile Developer Meet-up for the first time to India. The event will be held in New Delhi on 24 June and Bengaluru on 26 June.
India's mobile Internet sector – growing at almost 40% per year – has spawned an exciting app developer ecosystem, creating a community that is riding the wave of innovations not only for users in India, but across the world.
"India has a vibrant, rapidly growing app developer community," speaking about the upcoming meet-up, Flurry (owned by Yahoo) Vice President Jarah Euston, said, "As a mobile-first company, we understand the need for app developers to have a strong mobile analytics and monetization engine. The Yahoo Mobile Developer Suite can help developers build their app businesses, monetize and create better experiences for their users, to stand out in today's crowded app market."
At the upcoming Yahoo Mobile Developer Meet-up, mobile app developers will get the opportunity to network with fellow participants from the mobile start-up and developer community. They will also get their first look at the Yahoo Mobile Developer Suite, a new suite of services designed to help them measure, advertise, monetise and improve their mobile apps.
Unveiled earlier this year, the Yahoo Mobile Developer Suite is a powerful combination of technology and data from Yahoo, Flurry (acquired by Yahoo in August, 2014) and BrightRoll (acquired in December 2014). It is built on five offerings – Flurry Analytics with Explorer, Flurry Pulse, Yahoo App Publishing, Yahoo Search in Apps, and Yahoo App Marketing.
Across the globe, Flurry provides two lakh app developers with the mobile analytics that is needed to understand their users better including factors like audience, usage and performance.
With Flurry, they get a deep understanding of app performance metrics and their users. Every month, Flurry touches over 1.6 billion devices and gains tremendous insights into users' interests and behaviour, based on the apps they use. During the meet-up, the Flurry team will share key insights and trends from the app universe – both at a global and a regional level.
