Xolo's Intel based Xolo X1000 smartphone is all set to receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update this week.
The NDTV Gadgets website, citing sources close to the company, reported that Xolo X1000 will get the Android update over-the-air (OTA) this week. The report did not mention anything about the expected changes that will come with the new update. News of the OS update to Xolo X1000 comes at a time when several MNC and domestic-branded smartphones were getting upgraded to the latest version.
Xolo's X100 smartphone, which made its debut in March for ₹19,999, boasts a 4.7-inch display with 720X1280 pixel resolution backed by a 2GHz Intel Atom Z2480 processor and PowerVR SGX540 GPU. The smartphone currently runs on Android v4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, and with the latest update, will get upgraded to the Jelly Bean OS. In terms of memory, the Xolo X1000 smartphone packs 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD support.
Other specifications include an 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G. The smartphone is powered by a 1,900mAh battery which claims to give five hours of browsing time and 9.5 hours talktime on 3G. The device is likely to be priced the same even after the Jelly Bean update. There is no official confirmation about the update so far.
