Xolo, the subsidiary of Lava International, has teased a new Black series smartphone ahead of its launch.
In the video, Xolo uses finger puppets to highlight a few key features. It says Xolo Black phone will boast of smudge and stain resistant coating and the video also teases the actual phone will have dual-camera module (with LED flash in the middle) on the shiny glass coated rear side. It also houses SIM-tray to the left side.
Going by the short video, Xolo Black's outlook design seems to be inspired from iPhone 6 series. The curved corners and smooth edges around the phone are uncanny. That being said, Xolo Black will be a mid-range smartphone with price ranging between ₹10,000 and ₹20,000, reports BGR India, citing sources familiar with Xolo's plans.
Xolo Black is expected to ship with 4G-LTE modem and run on the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with proprietary Hive v1.5 UI out-of-the-box.
As of now, there is no word on other internal hardware features of Xolo Black, but it has been learnt that the company will release the upcoming Black series phone exclusively on Flipkart.
Xolo has taken a leaf out of business models from its accomplished rivals like Micromax, Xiaomi and Lenovo, to retail all future Black series smartphones via e-commerce site only. The company is said to release one Black series handset in each quarter.
