Xolo has silently listed a new smartphone model in its official online store. Xolo Q700 Club, the latest entry in the Q series, makes an interesting bargain for its budget price.
The smartphone comes with decent specifications to match the low-cost price tag but adds more value with some additional perks. According to the smartphone's listing, the Q700 Club features dual speakers, highlighting the impressive BoomSound experience.
The Xolo Q700 Club is the successive model of the 2012's Q700 but it is a major design overhaul.
The dual-facing speakers on top and bottom of the screen make up for most of the design tweak. The handset features a 4.5-inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and 218ppi. It measures 10.8mm thick and has room for two SIM cards. Interestingly, Xolo's latest model is IP55 certified for water and dust resistance, making it useful in any kind of environment.
Under the hood, the Xolo Q700 Club houses a MediaTek MTK 6582M quad-core SoC clocking speeds at 1.3GHz and 1GB RAM supporting the system with Mali 400 for graphics. It runs on Google's aging Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS and has a microSD slot for memory expansion up to 32GB for those who find the 8GB onboard storage too less.
Xolo Q700 Club also packs a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera along with a VGA shooter in the front with a 2,000mAh battery. Standard features like 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are included in the handset. Additionally, the smartphone comes with Hungama app with free unlimited music and video downloads for 3 months.
Xolo has listed the price of the handset at Rs 6,999 but hasn't given the details on the availability of Q700 Club. The handset is shown in black and white, so it's pretty clear that consumers will have two colour choices when the handset is available. Details on the availability are likely to emerge soon.
