XOLO--a LAVA subsidiary--had debuted in the online market with its budget smartphone Black. The device was unveiled back in July exclusively through Flipkart at a price tag of Rs 12,999. However, to increase it reach, XOLO has now also tied up with Snapdeal.
Budget smartphone XOLO Black competes with the latest Meizu M2 Note, Lenovo K3 Note, Xiaomi Mi 4i and ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser among others.
With a measured thickness of 7.3mm, Black boasts a 5.5-inch, 1080P OGS IPS display overlaid with Oleophobic coating. The device also comes with Corning Gorilla glass protection both on front and rear.
The 4G LTE smartphone comes with hybrid Dual SIM slot and runs on a customised version of Android 5.0 Lollipop, named Hive UI. XOLO Black packs an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 processor, visible in Yu Yureka Plus and Xiaomi Mi 4i. Black also packs 2GB RAM memory and 16GB storage, expandable up to 32GB.
On the camera front, XOLO Black comes with two sensors on the rear side instead of one. While its 13MP rear sensor is responsible for clicking the images, another 2MP sensor is responsible for focusing the images faster or refocus on the subject when required. On the front, XOLO Black features a 5MP snapper with smart LED flash for clicking decent selfies in challenging lighting environment.
The device comes powered by a 3,200 mAh battery with a claimed battery life of 735 hours in standby mode. It also comes with Quick Charge 1.0 ability and a 2Amp charger for faster charging.
