Xolo, the sub-brand of Lava International, has announced that the new Black series smartphone will be unveiled next week.
For the last few days, the company has been teasing its new phone on social networking sites each time revealing key features. After eliciting curiosity among fans, the firm has now confirmed that the first of the Black series handset will be released on 10 July via Flipkart.
It has been learnt that Xolo Black will be sold via open sale on Flipkart, unlike flash sales conducted by Xiaomi, Lenovo and other rivals
As per the latest reports, Xolo Black will boast of dual-camera module (with LED flash in the middle) on the shiny glass coated rear-side. It is also said to feature anti-smudge-and-stain coating in the front and back.
Under the hood, it is expected to ship with 4G-LTE modem, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with proprietary Hive 1.5 UI out-of-the-box. Other key details like screen size, resolution, RAM, storage capacity are still under wraps, but it has come to light that it will be priced under ₹15,000.
If this is true, then Xolo Black will be competing with popular brands Xiaomi Mi 4i, Moto G (2 Gen) and soon to be released Micromax Canvas Sliver and other mid-range handsets.
For the uninitiated, all future Xolo Black series smartphones will be sold via e-commerce sites only. The company is said to release one Black series handset in each quarter.
