Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi, whose bezel-less Mi Mix smartphone grabbed eyeballs of technology enthusiasts across the world, could now face intense competition from the likes of Meizu, which is rumoured to launch a handset that is said to compete directly with the Xiaomi Mi Mix on on December 24. Xiaomi's offering was recently sold-out in just 10 seconds in a flash sale in China.
As per a BGR report, that quotes a Weibo image believed (by unnamed sources) to be that of Meizu's bezel-less phone, the yet-to-be launched handset would come with a screen to body ratio that is said to be more than that of Xiaomi's Mi Mix. Also, a front fingerprint sensor is rumoured to be in the offing for the Meizu bezel less phone.
Another notable aspect about the newly surfaced image of a Meizu-branded phone is its tagline that according to BGR reads "Something Unexpected is coming." This clearly adds substance to rumour mills that are hinting at the launch of Meizu's first-ever bezel-less concept phone similar to Xiaomi. It is also worth noting that Meizu is also head-quartered in China just like Xiaomi; hence a potential battle between the two Chinese smartphone giants garners increased interest from smartphone loyalists across the world.
However, Meizu is yet to come out with an official announcement with respect to its rumoured bezel-less concept phone to take on Xiaomi's Mi Mix. As far as the latter is concerned, it features the below key technical specifications:
