Last week, Xiaomi CEO had announced that the company will host a launch on Thursday, sparking off speculation among fans that the company might launch a new smartphone.
But today (15 July), the Chinese company (via Twitter) teased the upcoming product which has no resemblance to either a smartphone or a tablet. Instead, it looks more like a television.
In the teaser image, we see a series of three screens with bulged sharp-square corners hinting that Xiaomi may unveil a new line of Mi series Smart LED TVs, probably with 4K/UHD resolution considering the prevailing Top-end TV standards.

As of now, there is no word on the special features of the new Xiaomi Mi TV 3 series but the teaser does promise a completely new design and top-notch quality, probably curved UHD screens similar to the expensive televisions of LG and Samsung. But unlike them, the new Xiaomi Mi TV series is expected to come at an affordable price.
Just a few hours before the company released the teaser, Xiaomi posted a picture of Mi Box Mini with a USB mini port connected plug with a tag, "New Mi Product Launch on 16 July. Something redesigned from head to tail. Any guesses?"
It didn't generate curiosity among fans, but the second teaser made it little clearer as they were able to connect the dots between the TV screens and the set-top box, to come to the conclusion that the company may announce a new television set.

Of course, one cannot rule out the possibility of Xiaomi announcing new smartphones tomorrow during the launch, considering the company had unveiled numerous devices in January where it showcased four new gadgets, including the Mi Note, the Mi Note Pro, the Mi Headset and the Mi Box Mini.
