Xiaomi, in a bid to drum up buzz around the next week's launch event, has teased the rumoured Redmi Note 2 Pro, revealing a couple of features of the device.
Company founder and president Bin Lin, posted an image of smartphone's rear-side on Weibo, clearly showing that Redmi Note 2 Pro will come with curved edges similar to the original Redmi Note 2, but will boast brushed-metal like cover to provide a premium touch.
The image also shows that the device houses camera module on the top (in the middle) with LED Flash below it. The interesting thing to note is that the device houses a circular metal ring below the camera module, believed to be the fingerprint sensor.
If the company does launch mid-range phone Redmi Note 2 Pro with biometric technology, it will be a game changer for Xiaomi and is likely get traction in emerging markets like China, India and other South Asian regions.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro is said to feature almost same hardware as seen inside the original Redmi Note 2, which was launched in August.
The key difference between the two is that the former will boast metal body and fingerprint sensor, while the rest of the features are same as the latter.
