On July 16, Xiaomi unveiled a new line of Mi TV 2S series smart television and Mi water purifier in China. Now the company is planning to sell the water purifier in India.
Xiaomi VP (global operation), Hugo Barra confirmed the news on Facebook, but refused to disclose an actual timeline on Mi Water purifier's release in India.
"#MiWaterPurifier This is a product we'd LOVE to bring to India soon — Mi Water Purifier," reads Barra's post.
Xiaomi Mi Water purifier:
The compact Mi Water device occupies less space than an A4 size sheet. The smart water purifier measures 205.0 x 260.0 x 410.0 mm in size. The device, which can be monitored via smartphone, can send water quality test results and also filter change reminders to phone.
Mi Water boasts RO (reverse osmosis) technology to clean water of impurities with an out-flow rate of 1litre per minute. It also comes with a taste enhancer and odour control system.
Xiaomi Mi Water will set you back by RNB 1,299 (around $210/€192/₹13,300). It will go on sale first in China via Mi.com later this month on July 28.

Besides Mi Water purifier, the company is also making arrangements to introduce its affordable Mi TV series smart television and Mi Box, a revolution device, which can convert ordinary TV in to a smart device, in India by the year end.
