Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is all geared for the Flipkart flash sale, scheduled to take place on 20 January, with a total of 90,000 units of Redmi Note 4G and Redmi 1S up for grabs.
The company via its official Facebook page confirmed that it will host flash sales for its devices at different time-slots. Redmi Note 4G (60,000 units) will go on sale at 2:00 p.m and Redmi 1S (30,000 units), a little later, at 5:00 p.m.
Last week, Redmi 1S (50,000) and Redmi Note 4G (50,000) units were sold out in 11 seconds and 2 minutes and 50 seconds, respectively. On 20 January, we expect a virtual stampede on Flipkart as there will be no competition from Micromax.
Xiaomi, on 13 January, had to fight for consumer's attention as its rival Micromax had scheduled YU Yureka flash sale on Amazon India, 13 January afternoon 2:00 p.m.
However, the home-bred company has decided to hold the YU Yureka flash sale on 22 January, on Amazon India.
If Xiaomi fans fail to get their hands on the Xiaomi devices on 20 January, they can try their luck at Airtel retail shops, later this week.
Airtel has announced that Redmi Note 4G will be made available in 133 company stores across six cities, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Kolkata.
"Mi Day" promotional campaign, a joint initiative of Airtel and Xiaomi has been made a weekly event at stores in select cities, 16 January onwards.
