Xiaomi appears to be gearing up to release two devices, the Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4, the successors of Redmi Note 3 and Redmi 3. The Chinese technology giant has scheduled an event on Aug. 25, sparking off speculations that the two handsets will be announced on the day.

A Xiaomi device with model number Xiaomi 2016050, believed to be the Redmi Note 4, was earlier leaked in a Weibo post (via TimesNews), which also claimed that the device will be unveiled on Thursday. It was earlier cleared by the Chinese telecom equipment certification authority TENAA, giving a clear hint that its release isn't far off.

The device is expected to have a fingerprint scanner, a metal body, and come in two variants — one with a 16GB internal memory+2GB RAM, and the other with a 64GB storage+3GB RAM. It has a 5.5-inch display, a 2GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor, a 13MP main camera, a 5MP front-snapper, and a 4,100mAh battery, according to the purported leaked retail box of the handset.

The Redmi Note 4 is seen sporting a 5.5-inch TFT full-HD display with 1,920×1,080 screen resolution, measuring 151×76.3×8.54 mm in dimension, and weighing 176.54 g on TENAA listing. It has a 2GHz deca-core processor, a 16/64GB internal memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card, a 2GB/3GB RAM, a 13MP main camera, a 5MP front-snapper, and a 4,000mAh battery.

The device is expected to come in two variants, one with a 16GB internal memory+2GB RAM, and the other with a 32GB storage+3GB RAM. According to Geekbench site, the device sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with 1,920×1,080 screen resolution, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa-core processor. It comes packed with a 32GB internal storage and a 3GB RAM, and houses a 4,100mAh Battery with Quick Charge technology.
